Ape To Man ()

Synopsis:
Beginning with the discovery of ancient fossils found in Germany at a time when Charles Darwins "The Origin Of Species" had not even tapped into the publics consciousness, "Ape To Man" is an engaging and entertaining documentary that features both re-enactments of various paleoentological expeditions and their discoveries as well as dramatizations depicting how these ancient ancestors to contemporary humans might have appeared and behaved. From Eugene Dubois discovery of Homo erectus in 1890, Raymond Darts discovery of Taung Child in 1920, through the fraudulent creation of Piltdown Man, the mistake of Nebraska Man to the contemporary DNA tests performed by top scientists and researchers, "Ape To Man" raises some interesting insight into the origin of humanity with interview clips of distinguished professors in the fields of anthropology, palaeo-anthropology, anatomy, philosophy and biology, each discussing the ever-changing understanding of humanitys origins. Among the interesting insights revealed is that the size of the brain was not so much a deciding factor in development of the species, but how they used their environment to create tools going as far back to the first upright walking descendent to move from one tree to the next for food and safety millions of years ago.
