Aakhree Raasta (1986)

Synopsis:
David is an old prisoner, released after twenty-four years in a penitentiary for a crime he hasn't committed. The three men who framed him and sent him away, are now prominent citizens of his town. David walks out of the prison straight into a confessional booth at his church. He tells the priest that he is about to kill three prominent men, for which he seeks God's pardon in advance. He must find his old friend, bootlegger and the custodian of David's only son. David had believed in his friend to bring up his son as the worst criminal and seek revenge from the men who put him away. On meeting him, David finds that his son is a Cop instead. Devastated, David continues on his own. When he is about to kill the three men, his son has vowed to protect the citizens under any circumstances. David and his son are at war, personally and the smarter of the duo would win.

Writer, Editor, Director and co-producer N.Chandra earned both popular as also critical acclaim for this film. He had earlier worked under Gulzar as an editor. Chandrashekhar Narvekar alias N Chandra scored a hat-trick at the box office with his first three films, Ankush (1986), Pratighaat (1987) and Tezaab (1988), which is what is called his ‘system’ trilogy because the theme of individual against the system runs through all the three films.

Synopsis:
This is an off-beat story by Indian film standards of a group of young men, who live in the same neighbourhood, and hang around the streets, killing time and fighting rival street gangs. In their pointless lives come 2 women: a old lady and her young daughter (a teacher). The daughter is initially annoyed by the rude behaviour of the young loafers, but soon sees though their tough demeanour. What she discovers is well-intentioned youth, led astray by an apathetic and corrupt society.

Jeeva (1986)

Synopsis:
The money lender Lala plagues people energeticly supported by his son Rajesh with his dreaded whip. When Rajesh rapes Gopal Singhs sister who thereafter commits suicide and the local thakur threatens Rajesh to sue him Lala and Rajesh set the thakurs house on fire. The thakurs son Jeevan together with Gopal manages to save his parents from the burning house but its too late for them. Jeevan seeks help with an inspector who however supports Lala. Confronting him Jeevan unintendedly kills the inspector and as no one dares to testify against Lala Jeevan is sentenced to death. Gopal arranges Jeevans saving through the gang of the sardar Jaghir Singh who once had been rendered an invaluable service by Jeevans father. With no other perspective left in life Jeevan and Gopal join the gang and Jeevan changes his name to Jeeva. But on his way to revenge against Lala Jeeva has to overcome two hurdles: Lakhan his rival for the sardars succession and police inspector Dushant Singh his lady love Nalinis father.

Synopsis:

Palay Khan (1986)

Synopsis:
The British are in power in India. But Mandokhel is one region that they are yet to capture. Thanks to the rebels led by Palay Khan (Jackie Shroff) protecting them. All the attempts by the British to capture him have gone in vain. The British force led by Col Gulbaaz Khan manages to capture Palay Khan's best friend Amar Singh. To free him Palay Khan decides to kidnap Ellen, the daughter of the British General Bonz. But on his mother's insistence he frees her and eventually the fall in love. Palay will have to deal with strong opposition from the British. Before that he has to handle his fellow men who think the he is betraying them. Gulbaaz Khan takes advantage of the situation and lays a trap to capture Palay Khan.
