Molly (1977)

AKA:
Sex in Sweden
Kommt her, ihr wilden Schwedinnen

About:
Molly comes to the Riviera to visit friends who run a very social and liberal summer house with some interesting house guests. Molly is awakening sexually and very hot on the oldest son of the house, charming and horny Peter. A plot that ends up in some family confusion - Molly gets Peter's brother, who cannot get it on with her on the wedding night, and Peter takes over his place in the bed.

Fine explicit and natural sex, no artificial climactic shots. Beautiful girls and handsome men. The only thing that is obvious is that Marie Forså (Molly) does not play in the one explicit sex scene she is supposed to have. Recommended for couples - it actually does have a plot.

Starring:
Marie Forså
Chris Chittell
Eva Axen

Director: Mac Ahlberg (as Bert Torn)

Bhumika (1977)

AKA:
भुमिका

Synopsis:
Bhumika is the most layered of Shyam Benegal's trifecta (Mandi, Ankur are the other two). It is not simply a film but also a lesson in the styles of Indian films. Mr. Benegal's uses these varied visual styles to tell the story of an actress and her inner turmoil as she looks for meaning in her life and in her relationships. For example, the black and white staged look of fifties is not simply a study of style, it is also the psychological place where the actress exists in that moment, oppressed by expectations and the values imposed upon her. Later, as color filters into films and the formal look loosens, the actress finds herself willing to experiment and take chances. The entire film is full of these little gems where the inner struggle of the character finds a perfect visual expression.

This is world class cinema. Had this film been promoted properly, Mr. Benegal would have had his break out international moment and the freedom which comes with it.

Smita Patil

Pumping Iron (1977)

Synopsis:
Pumping Iron is a 1977 documentary film about the run-up to the 1975 Mr. Olympia bodybuilding competition. The film focuses on Arnold Schwarzenegger and his competitors, Lou Ferrigno and Franco Columbu. The documentary was co-directed by Robert Fiore and George Butler. It was based on the book of the same name by Charles Gaines and George Butler (Simon and Schuster, 1974).
Pumping Iron is a movie documenting what is commonly referred to as "The Golden Age" of bodybuilding, a time when mass and size mattered less, and symmetry and definition of the body was preferred. The documentary follows the two main bodybuilding competitions, the IFBB Mr. Universe (for amateurs) and the Mr. Olympia (for professionals) in Pretoria, South Africa. Though the documentary focuses on Schwarzenegger, many notable bodybuilders make appearances, including Lou Ferrigno, Franco Columbu, Mike Mentzer, Robby Robinson, Mike Katz, Albert Beckles, Ken Waller, Frank Zane, Paul Grant, Ed Corney, Serge Nubret and Danny Padilla — all talented champions in their own rights.[citation needed] Ed Corney appeared on the front dust jacket of the hardcover edition of the book and the front of the softcover version, as well as on the poster for the movie.
