Daljit "Dolly" Brar (Ravee Gupta) is the daughter of Jay's boss, and is jealous of the relationship developing between Amrita and Jay, so she fires him. Randeep has engaged some men and asked them to hunt down Amrita and kill her. Fearing for the well-being of Amrita, Yeshwantraj journeys to Canada, only to find her missing. Randeep attempts to somehow convince his dad that Amrita has eloped with some unknown man. Yeshwantraj continues looking for Amrita, not knowing that the results will change his life forever.

Man sieht und hört es auf den Straßen der Stadt: Wien ist bei den Italienern und speziell auch bei den Römern sehr beliebt. Hier verbringen sie gerne einige Tage. Aber sie waren vor langer Zeit schon einmal da: Die alten Römer, deren Jahrhunderte dauernde Herrschaft in Wien reichlich zu belegen ist, auch wenn sie Vindobona vor nun schon 1.500 Jahren wieder verlassen haben.

1683 - Die Türken vor Wien - Sieg des Abendlandes ()

1683 hallt ein Schreckensruf durch Europa: "Die Türken stehen vor Wien!" Seit 60 Tagen ist die Kaiserstadt im Würgegriff osmanischer Truppen. Fast 200.000 Mann lagern vor Wien. Kara Mustafa, der Feldherr der Osmanen, droht den Wienern: "Weigert ihr euch, Wien zu übergeben, so werden wir euch erstürmen und alle, vom Kleinsten bis zum Größten, über die Klinge springen lassen." Die Lage ist verzweifelt. Die Wiener hungern, ihre Brunnen sind verseucht, und die rote Ruhr wütet. Nur noch 4.000 Verteidiger stehen auf den Mauern. Doch kapitulieren wollen sie nicht. Der 12. September 1683 soll die Entscheidung bringen.

Die Legende der Heiligen Lanze ()

Synopsis:
Die Heilige Lanze war nach christlicher Überlieferung die Waffe, mit der ein römischer Legionär den gekreuzigten Christus in die Seite stach, um zu prüfen, ob er bereits tot war. Wo das Relikt in den folgenden Jahrhunderten verblieb, ist der Stoff für weitere Mythen und Legenden. Klar ist nur: Nach mittelalterlich-christlichem Verständnis wurde durch den Kontakt mit dem Blut des Heilands aus einem gewöhnlichen Speer eine wirkungsmächtige Reliquie. So verwundert es nicht, dass die Lanze im 10. Jahrhundert wieder historisch fassbar wird, diesmal als Bestandteil der Reichskleinodien der römisch-deutschen Könige und Kaiser des Heiligen Römischen Reiches. Schon der Besitz dieses heiligen Artefakts, so glaubte man damals, reichte aus, um einen Herrscher unbesiegbar zu machen. Heute kann die Heilige Lanze, von der nur noch die Spitze existiert, in der Schatzkammer der Wiener Hofburg besichtigt werden. Aber handelt es sich wirklich um den Speer, mit dem Jesus verletzt wurde? Dies scheint umso zweifelhafter, da noch zwei weitere Artefakte existieren, bei denen es sich laut Überlieferung um die Heilige Lanze handelt. Die Dokumentation klärt die Herkunft der drei Speerspitzen und erhellt mit Hilfe modernster naturwissenschaftlicher Analysemethode, wie und wann sie entstanden.

Synopsis:
The money lender Lala plagues people energeticly supported by his son Rajesh with his dreaded whip. With no other perspective left in life Jeevan and Gopal join the gang and Jeevan changes his name to Jeeva. But on his way to revenge against Lala Jeeva has to overcome two hurdles: Lakhan his rival for the sardars succession and police inspector Dushant Singh his lady love Nalinis father.

Synopsis:

Synopsis:

They decide to get the children married and formalize their marriage when they are adults. Chander is sent to a hostel so that he can study and become a better person than his father and Maggu. Years later Chander has now grown up and is well educated. Delighted Jaggu and Maggu go to the city to bring him back home to get married to Kamla. To their shock and surprise Chander refuses to have to do anything with them; he has a girlfriend named Pinky Khanna who he gets engaged to and will marry soon; and he outright refuses to marry Kamla under any circumstances. Jaggu Maggu and Kamla now realize their fate - which is traveling around singing and dancing the rest of their lives and living destitute lives.

Synopsis:

Haridas Choudhry lives a wealthy lifestyle in Bombay India along with his wife Sonu son Guddu and sister Geeta. He had started his career as a lowly cobbler on a the corner of a busy street but is now the owner of a shoe company. His associates want him to make shoes that wear out soon but he refuses to do so and would like to buy out National Shoes for 20 Lakh Rupees. He withdraws the money but before he could undertake the transaction Guddu gets kidnapped and the demand from his abductors is for 20 Lakhs. Much to his relief he finds out that his servants son Bansi has been mistakenly abducted in place of his son. Nevertheless he decides to pay the ransom this time with the help of Inspector Amarnath Gill his sisters estranged boyfriend who he had turned down as he was not wealthy enough. The money is turned over to the kidnappers two associates Manmohan and Preeti.

A regular United Nations speaker, Dr. Chen, discussed an ongoing abuse of human rights in China that involves illegal organ harvesting and a persecution of a peaceful and spiritual group known as Falun Gong.

Dr. Shizhong Chen has been active in projects concerning China for over 20 years. He has founded, co-founded, or been spokesperson for a number of organizations concerning China, and has spoken extensively on issues related to China. Dr. Chen was born in China in 1962. At 15, he entered the gifted program at the China University of Science and Technology. He came to the U.S. in 1982 to study and received his Ph.D. in molecular biology at the University of California, San Diego. He currently runs a molecular biology company in San Diego. In 1989, while in graduate school, Dr. Chen participated in and organized activities to support the student movement in China. After the June 4th Tiananmen massacre, Dr. Chen co-founded the Independent Federation of Chinese Students and Scholars in the U.S., and was elected as vice president of this nationwide organization in 1990. He has given speeches and forums on various China-related subjects to universities and at national and international events. Since 2001, he has regularly attended and spoken at the U.N. Human Rights Council in Geneva and New York. He has made multiples appearances on radio, TV shows and interviews, and has authored several reports and books on China.

Kohinoor (1960)

It is said that Dilip Kumar went into depression after playing tragic roles in films such as Devdas and his psychiatrist recommended to do light roles. One such role that he took up was Kohinoor. Kohinoor cast Dilip Kumar and Meena Kumari to play a prince and princess of different kingdoms and was full of sword fights, songs and dances. 'Kohinoor' is nothing short of a typical 60's Bollywood fairytale. There's a prince, a princess, an evil minister, an evil king, a dancer, horses and soldiers and what not? It's perhaps a fun watch with the family. I enjoyed the comedic moments. Meena Kumari seems to have a knack for comedy but she really does go over the top in the dramatic scenes (oh the screaming!). Too bad she wasn't offered much comedy films. She does fit the princess role. Dilip Kumar is adequate. KumKum springs a surprise as here she plays second lead to Meena, instead of the usual comedic role or heroine's sidekick. She does a fine job and she's quite a dancer. The songs are quite melodious, my favorite being 'Jaadugar katil ' sung by the legendary Asha Bhosle and filmed on Kum Kum. On the technical side, the film is okay for its time. The underwater shots are quite good. The set designs, at times look fake but I doubt anyone cares as it's a black and white film. Anyway, to put it in a nutshell, 'Kohinoor' is a decent flick that's perhaps more enjoyable to watch with the family (who know about Hindi films) than solo. (IMDB review)

For 47 years, the Hugo Television Awards have honored the most innovative and outstanding members of the television community. The awards include the Golden HUGO Award, the Silver HUGO, as well as Gold, Silver, and Certificate of Merit for each category.

Out of the numerous submissions, this year the jury awarded Between Life and Death, a news documentary from New Tang Dynasty Television, the Certificate of Merit. It was one of three award winners in the Investigative Reporting/News Documentary category.

The film documents the surge of organ transplants in China, beginning about 10 years ago and boasting a super short waiting period for wealthy patients to have their organs and tissue matched. The investigation focused on the undisclosed origin of the organs. By analyzing the Chinese government's officially published numbers and media reported cases; interviewing many investigators, professionals, and witnesses; and citing the testimony of a principal criminal apprehended by Israeli police, the film documented how the Chinese Communist Regime systematically built up a large organ and tissue database of Falun Gong practitioners and other political dissidents and then harvested their organs while they were still alive to sell to patients for huge monetary gain.

At the hill-station, Ameet gets a bolt from the blue, wherein he suddenly finds himself a pauper - Dhanraj's attitude changes - he does not want a pauper for a son-in-law. Ameet and Sunita's engagement is broken by her father. Calamities pile up. Ameet has to sell his bunglow and orchards also to meet some outstanding dues which were slyly incurred by Nekiram. Ameet does not know that it is Nekiram who has indirectly bought those orchards and bunglow. Over time Ameet is driven to a plight where he finally has to work as a labourer in those orchards. He adjusts himself to that plight because he believes in the dignity of labour. The last straw on camel's back comes when Nekiram turns up at the hill-station and corners Dhanraj's business in such a way that Dhanraj has to agree to his daughter Sunita's marriage to Nekiram. Idi Amin Dada Autobiography ()

Idi Amin Dada (c. 1925[A] -- 16 August 2003) was a military leader and President of Uganda from 1971 to 1979. Amin joined the British colonial regiment, the King's African Rifles, in 1946, and eventually held the rank of Major General and Commander of the Ugandan Army before taking power in the military coup of January 1971, deposing Milton Obote. He later promoted himself to Field Marshal while he was the head of state.

Amin's rule was characterized by human rights abuse, political repression, ethnic persecution, extrajudicial killings, nepotism, corruption, and gross economic mismanagement. The number of people killed as a result of his regime is estimated by international observers and human rights groups to range from 100,000[1] to 500,000. During his years in power, Amin was backed by Libya's Muammar al-Gaddafi as well as the Soviet Union and East Germany.

In 1975--1976, Amin became the Chairman of the Organisation of African Unity, a pan-Africanist group designed to promote solidarity of the African states.[5] During the 1977--1979 period, Uganda was appointed to the United Nations Commission on Human Rights. From 1977 to 1979, Amin titled himself as "His Excellency, President for Life, Field Marshal Al Hadji Doctor[B] Idi Amin Dada, VC,[C] DSO, MC, Conqueror of the British Empire in Africa in General and Uganda in Particular".

Dissent within Uganda and Amin's attempt to annex the Kagera province of Tanzania in 1978 led to the Uganda--Tanzania War and the demise of his regime. Amin later fled to exile in Libya and Saudi Arabia until his death on 16 August 2003.

Kurz danach, in dem sogenannten Hut-Tax-War von 1898, erhoben sich die lokalen Fürsten unter der Führung von Bai Bureh und Kai Lundu gegen das britische Protektorat. Etwa sechzig Jahre nach dem Protektoratsabkommen erhielt das Land 1958 die innere Selbstverwaltung und wurde drei Jahre später, am 27. April 1961, ein politisch unabhängiger Staat innerhalb des Commonwealth. Nach Militärputschen 1967 und 1968 wurde 1971 die Republik ausgerufen.

Nach einem Jahrzehnt blutigen Bürgerkrieges ist das Land seit 2000 mit seinem Wiederaufbau und der Aufarbeitung der jüngeren Geschichte beschäftigt. Das Land zählt weiterhin zu den ärmsten Ländern der Welt und nahm beim Human Development Index 2010 den 158. Platz (von 169) ein.
Etwa 64% der Einwohner sind Analphabeten. Während des Bürgerkrieges wurden über 1270 Schulen zerstört und 2001 besuchten nur rund 33% der Schulpflichtigen die Schule.
Die Lebenserwartung von Frauen liegt bei 49 Jahren, die der Männer bei 48 Jahren. Die Säuglingssterblichkeit beträgt 158 pro 1.000 Geburten, die Müttersterblichkeit 2.100 pro 100.000 Geburten.

Etwa 50.000 bis 200.000 Sierra-Leoner (anderen Angaben zufolge 20.000) kamen im Bürgerkrieg um, weitere wurden zu Binnenvertriebenen oder flohen in die benachbarten Länder.

Die RUF machte es sich zum Markenzeichen, bei Überfällen auf Dörfer Zivilisten die Gliedmaßen abzutrennen. Als Folge dieser Vorgehensweise gibt es etwa 20.000 Amputees.

Das Land ist reich an Bodenschätzen wie Bauxit, Braunkohle, Chrom, Diamanten, Eisenerz, Gold, Graphit, Columbit, Mangan, Molybdän, Platin, Rutil (Titanoxid) und Rhodium.
Etwa 70 % der Bevölkerung lebt in extremer Armut und muss mit weniger als einem US-Dollar am Tag auskommen. Die ehemalige britische Kolonie belegt seit Jahren den letzten Platz auf der Liste des Entwicklungsprogramms der Vereinten Nationen, gleichbedeutend mit dem Status des am wenigsten entwickelten von 179 untersuchten Ländern (siehe auch Least Developed Countries).

Die Prinzessin und der fliegende Schuster (1987)

Synopsis:
In ihrem Ärger über einen Schlichterspruch des Königs, prophezeit die Hexe der Finsternis, dass die Königstochter einmal einen einfachen Schuster heiraten wird.
Aus Angst sperrt der König seine Tochter in einen Turm, damit der Fluch sich niemals bewahrheite.
Jahre später scheint die Prophezeiung zwar einzutreffen, doch der Schuster entpuppt sich als charmanter Jüngling, in den sich die Prinzessin Hals über Kopf verliebt.
Entsetzt über das junge Glück sinnt die Hexe auf eine Möglichkeit, die Liebe von Jasnenka und Jira zu zerstören. Und so muss Jira sich, will er Jasnenka aus dem Turm befreien, in luftige Höhen erheben.

Die schöne Wassilissa (1939)

Synopsis:
Der Film wurde nach den Motiven eines bekannten russischen Volksmärchens geschaffen. Ein Mann hatte drei Söhne. Die beiden älteren Söhne Anton und Agafon haben normale Mädchen zu Frauen ausgewählt und der jüngere Ivanuschka hat eine Sumpfkröte nach Hause gebracht. Sein Vater war sehr erstaunt, sagte aber nichts. Und die Kröte war in Wirklichkeit das vom feuerspeienden Drachen verzauberte schöne Mädchen Wassilissa. Wassilissa hat den Heiratsantrag vom Ungeheuer abgelehnt und wurde in die Kröte verwandelt. Aber Ivanuschka hat auf seine Liebe nicht verzichtet. Er hatte viele Hindernisse aus dem Wege zu räumen um seiner Braut ihre frühere Gestalt zurückzukehren und den dreiköpfigen Drachen zu vernichten.

Schneewittchen (1986)

Synopsis:
Schneewittchen, ein schönes junges Mädchen, wird von ihrer Stiefmutter, der Königin, in einen Turm gesperrt. Als die Stiefmutter hört, daß Schneewittchen schöner sei, als sie, befiehlt sie dem Jäger das Mädchen zu töten. Der Jäger aber bringt die böse Tat nicht übers Herz und läßt Schneewittchen im Wald zurück. So kommt sie zum Haus der sieben Zwerge. Die Königin erfährt durch den Zauberspiegel, daß Schneewittchen noch lebt und beschließt, sie nun selbst umzubringen.

Die Schlümpfe und die Zauberflöte (1975)

Synopsis:
Der junge Schelm Pfiffikus findet eine Zauberflöte. Wenn er hierauf spielt, fangen alle an zu tanzen. Diese stiehlt der Räuber Bruno Böse, um sie als Waffe bei seinen Krummen Geschäften zu nutzen. Gemeinsam mit seinem Freund Prinz Johann geht Pfiffikus zum Zauberer Omnibus, der die beiden ins Land der Schlümpfe bringt. Diese wissen bereits über die Untaten des Räubers bescheid. Da die Macht der Zauberflöte nicht aufgehoben werden kann, schmumpfen sie eine neue Zauberflöte, so dass sich Pfiffikus mit der selben Waffe gegen den Bösewicht stellen kann und.

Die schöne Warwara (1969)

Synopsis:
Zum Vorlesen das russische Volksmärchen "Der Meereszar und die allweise Wassilissa aus der Sammlung von Alexander Nikolajewitsch Afanassjew.
Einst verlor Zar Jeremej eine Wette gegen den Wassergeist, wodurch diesem nun fortan alles gehören sollte, von dessen Existenz der Zar nichts wusste. Und so ließ der Zar alles zählen und in einem Buch festhalten was sein Reich und sein Schloss hergaben. Nur eine Sache entging ihm dennoch: Genau zum Zeitpunkt der Wette gebar ihm die Zarin heimlich einen Sohn. Der Zar ist hin und her gerissen: Einerseits erfreut über den Nachwuchs, erfüllt ihn tiefes Unbehagen bei dem Gedanken, dass ihm der lang ersehnte Sohn nun gleich wieder gestohlen werden soll. Schnell schmieden Jeremejs Berater eine List und vertauschen das Kind mit dem einer Fischerfamilie. 18 Jahre vergehen - der falsche Zarensohn entwickelt sich in einen verwöhnten Taugenichts, wohingegen der andere, richtige, zu einem stattlichen, klugen und geschickten Jüngling heranwächst. Etwa zur selben Zeit versucht der Wassergeist seine Tochter, die wunderschöne Warwara, zu vermählen. Doch diese möchte weder eine Kreatur der Unterwasserwelt noch einen x-beliebigen Menschenjungen heiraten. Da erinnert sich der Wassergeist an die Wette mit Zar Jeremej und fordert nun dessen Sohn für seine Tochter. Die schöne Warwara verliebt sich unterdessen in den vermeintlichen Fischersohn.

Fremde Wesen - Zauber der Elfen (1997)

Synopsis:
Gibt es sie wirklich oder sind sie nur Einbildung? Die 12-jährige Elsie und ihre 8-jährige Cousine Frances sind sich ganz sicher, dass magische Zauberwesen wie Feen, Elfen und Gnome ganz unbemerkt unter den Menschen leben -- die Erwachsenen haben nur verlernt sie zu sehen. Als es den Beiden gelingt, die kleinen Fabelwesen auf Fotoplatten zu bannen und auch „Sherlock Holmes"-Autor Sir Arthur Conan Doyle von der Echtheit der Bilder überzeugt ist, steht die Welt für ein paar Tage Kopf!

Hildebrand, der sich verirrte, aus dem Wald heraus. Bevor er die schöne, aber
herzlose Tochter ehelicht, versteckt er seine Kinder. Die neue Frau findet sie
jedoch und verwandelt sie in wilde Schwäne.

Der dritte Prinz (1982)

Synopsis:
Im Königreich des Löwen betrauern König und Königin den verschwundenen Sohn. Prinz Jindrich hatte sich in das Bild der wunderschönen Prinzessin vom Diamantenberg verliebt und war ausgezogen, sie zu suchen. Doch er kehrte nie zurück. Seine beiden jüngeren Brüder verlieben sich ebenfalls in diese Prinzessin und begeben sich nacheinander auf die Suche nach ihr. Dabei müssen sie drei Aufgaben erfüllen. Während Prinz Jaromir, geblendet von den Diamanten in Stein verwandelt wird, lehnt Jaroslav all die schönen glitzernden Dinge ab und kann dadurch seine Brüder befreien.

Des Kaisers neue Kleider (1993)

Synopsis:
Der Kaiser fällt in seiner Eitelkeit auf zwei Gauner herein, die behaupten, den feinen Stoff, den sie weben, könne der nicht sehen, der für sein Amt nicht taugt. Natürlich gibt niemand am Hofe zu, daß er nichts sieht, wo gar nichts ist - wer will schon für untauglich gehalten werden. In den höchsten Tönen loben alle den Stoff, der überhaupt nicht existiert, aber viel Geld verschlungen hat.
Und dann führt der Kaiser die neuen Kleider vor - in aller Öffentlichkeit präsentiert er sie. Wer wagt es wohl, ihn darauf hinzuweisen, daß er gar nichts am Leibe hat?

The poster boy of Nepal's Maoists, Prachanda has been caught lying on camera. The drama dates back to January last year when Prachanda was addressing fellow Maoists in Chitwan outside Kathmandu. There he admitted telling the United Nations that Maoist fighters numbered 35,000 when the actual figure was far less.

"We were around 7,000 fighters in the cantonment but we increased the number to become more strong," Prachanda is heard saying in the video.

Eventually, the United Nations fixed 20,000 as the total number of Maoist fighters, itself a grossly exagerrated figure and a financial settlement of around 6 lakh was made on that basis. The Maoists walked away - a rare case of ideology and profit going hand in hand.

The video records Prachanda admitting his goal of getting Maoist cadres into the army with the aim of taking it over. The Maoists remain committed to a peoples revolution in Nepal and they would never allow an election which they could lose.

The Maoists are also undercutting the Nepali Congress, backing for veteran communist leader Madhav Nepal as prime minister. They boycotted an all-party meeting called on Tuesday to form a new government by the weekend and threatened to disrupt Parliament if the issue goes to vote.

It's not clear yet whether they have been asked to unleash any violence because these cadre have proved they are capable of doing that and of holding a city and a country to ransom.

Meanwhile, the Supreme Court is also hearing a PIL on the manner in which President Ram Baran Yadav stayed the sacking of Army Chief General Katawal. Maoists are okay with that but the mood may change if the verdict goes against them.

Synopsis:
Abhimanyu enrolls himself in a medical institute and gets a room in the hostel. He finds that ragging is rampant, initiated by Chris and other seniors, on vulnerable freshers so much so that three years ago a student, Gaurav P. Gupte, killed himself. When he himself becomes a victim, he speaks out and complains, only to have his room trashed. He then requests that he be moved to Room 404 - the very room that was occupied by Gaurav. The authorities initially refuse as the room has been under lock and key since the suicide and no one dared to occupy it. But Abhimanyu insists and assures them that this will remove the myth associated with it, and he is accordingly permitted to do so. Shortly thereafter, he will start to hallucinate about not only seeing but also speaking with Gaurav. When he shares these with his friend, Neha; and Professor Aniruddh and his wife, Dr. Meera, they express disbelief and are convinced that he is suffering from a mental disorder.
