Taking The Mystery Out Of Pi ()

Synopsis:
This first part of this video series introduces the concept of proportions with simple examples. If fully understood , it should be easier to follow the next parts of the video.

In the second part, we first estimate the circumference of a circle with a one foot diameter. We then use the concept of proportions developed earlier to extend this estimate to two larger circles.

Pi is introduced in the third part and is then used to obtain the circumferences exactly.
