Synopsis:
In October 1962, during the confrontation between then US President John
F Kennedy and Soviet leader Nikita Khrushchev, the world was very close
to global nuclear war. In response to the American deployment of
ballistic missiles in Turkey targeted at major Soviet cities, the Soviet
Union retaliated with stationing their own missiles in Cuba.
